I started my professional career as a site engineer for a large commercial/residential development project in 2005. I have been with PEMCAS since 2008 where I initially started as a design engineer and over the years progressed to a project manager to my current associate director role. Seeing the company grow, I took on this role to further develop our civil structural and architecture team. I am most committed to developing and maintaining lasting relationships with clients and an extended team of longstanding contractors that helped us to build the company we have today. Continuous improvement is something we all share at PEMCAS.
At PEMCAS I am often an initial point of contact for our customers helping to get their project off the ground, and helping to have everything ready for our project management team. For large scale projects I remain the key responsible person throughout the entire cycle. I successfully manage a portfolio of projects, delivering great service and ensuring we perform on our commitments, providing solutions to clients problems. I enjoy seeing that over the years the number of projects delivered by PEMCAS are rapidly growing and together we are tackling more challenging tasks. Clients have described me as knowledgeable in my field and accessible.
One of my most memorable projects would be helping bring Dew Valley foods research and development center and manufacturing state-of-the-art facilities. Helping rural employers improve working conditions and increase their competitiveness in the job market that leads to much needed employment in the region brings great deal of personal satisfaction. I believe that to succeed as a project manager, you need a good attitude first, good people skills second. Clients get the most value when we are able to pool years of industry competency to meet project requirements, taking away the risks and guesswork regarding legal and regulatory requirements. In the company I specialise in construction law, ensuring obligations are met and projects are delivered to the highest standard. As the industry progresses it is important to prepare for multiple scenarios, even tough ones.
